October 20, 2013 is the date for the 3rd annual Empire State Marathon and Half Marathon. The inaugural and 2nd annual in 2011 each had over 2,500 entrants in the Full, Half and Relay. Runners represented over 30 states and 6 countries participating in the 2012 Empire State race weekend. The course continues to feature Onondaga Lake Park, Onondaga County, Syracuse, Liverpool, and Baldwinsville, New York at its Autumn colors finest.
Empire State Marathon Course The Empire State Marathon and Half Marathon will Start at 7:30am and 8am respectively, Sunday Oct.20th from NBT Stadium Parking Lot formerly, Alliance Bank Stadium, and will also finish at the Stadium Parking Lot Area.
Race weekend includes The Burdick Driver’s Village New York State Health and Wellness Expo at Driver’s Village 1st Floor around the Clock Area, Friday, October 18th noon to 7 pm and Saturday, October 19th 10 am to 5 pm. The pasta dinner will follow 5-8 pm. Goodie bags and race packets will need to be picked up at the Expo. All runners finishing the races will receive Finisher Medals. All those entered also receive an Empire State Marathon Half Marathon, and Relay Marathon Shirt.
For the Marathon and Half Marathon Races;
Over All and Age/Sex Divisional awards will be given for the top three places. A Master’s Division (top overall) award will also be presented for the marathon and half marathon distance for both male/female. Everyday Heroes Division will award for top three overall male and female for the half and full marathon. The relay participants wilEmpireStatePhotosl receive an Overall award for the Top finishing Team and also a Top Team award for each Division: Mixed, Male, Female and Everyday Heroes.
