Destiny USA and Donor Offer Free Carousel Rides in Memorial

Anonymous Donor and Destiny USA offer free

Carousel rides for 20 days

Generous Central New Yorker donates money to Destiny USA’s antique Carousel for rides
An anonymous donor, along with Destiny USA, will be providing free rides on the Carousel
for 20 days beginning today, January 14.

From January 14 to February 3, people of all ages are invited to take a free ride on the
antique Carousel, which has lived at Destiny USA since the facility’s opening in 1990.
The contribution was made on behalf of the 20 children and 6 teachers that lost their
lives in Newtown, CT in December 2012.

“When the Destiny USA team heard about this generous donation from an anonymous
individual , it humbled all of us,” Rob Schoeneck, General Manager stated. “It reminds us
that there are so many individuals who work hard each day to make sure children are
having fun,  are safe and well.. It is greatly appreciated and will make many of the kids
who visit our facility very happy.”

You can learn more about Carousel No. 18 at Destiny USA from Hal Kiah,

the ‘Carousel Man’ in this video: Mr. Kiah passed away last month

after more than 20 years of service at the Carousel.
